What does a horseshoe nail on a necklace mean?

I met a girl who was wearing a necklace that was a horse shoe nail on a heavy cord. My daughter asked her where she got it, and she said it was very important and her church gave it to her. I didn’t want to press her for details, but I was wondering what the significance of it was. I recognize a “nail of the cross”, but usually I just see crosses made out of nails, or see actual farriers wearing them, not just a single nail. Can anyone tell me why she considers it so important?

The nail which held Jesus to the cross was at least that big.

Jewelry and the Stars: A glittering night at the Academy Awards 2006

The celebrities walk the red carpet at the meeting Annual Academy Awards is probably just as anticipated by viewers around the world that the awards presentations themselves. The ladies are the stars of the show, and there is just something exciting to see them dressed in their finest attire for the event. Dresses and jewelry they wear them all to strengthen are stars, a step above us ordinary mortals.

There have been many examples of female celebrities who were photographed with jewels that are simply stunning at the Oscars over the years. Madonna, for example, was 20 million worth of diamonds on her neck, ears, and wrists 1991 to the Oscars. In the event this year, the jewelry worn by the stars are no less catchy, and they included roughly every design imaginable in just about all the colors of the rainbow.

Best actress nominee Keira Knightley wore a Bulgari necklace of antique chandelier diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires, with colors reminiscent of peacock feathers. Jennifer Lopez wore dangling earrings and a necklace of gold and diamonds by Fred Leighton, who also designed earrings and brooch Dolly Parton. Earrings fox Charlize Theron has been provided by Chopard, so were diamond earrings Hilary Swank, bracelet and ring. Diamonds were also stones favored actresses like Jennifer Aniston, who wore a necklace of cleavage enhancement. Other female celebrities who have been seen wearing diamond jewelry were Best Supporting Actress winner Rachel Weisz, Queen Latifah, Jessica Alba and Felicity Huffman.

Diamonds were also the bling of choice for men of the evening. Diamond studs adorned the earlobe from the likes of Ludacris and Will Smith. But members of the hip-hop Three 6 Mafia's obsession with diamonds a little later – they were right diamond bracelets to diamond watches to diamond earrings, and according to some accounts, they even had diamonds on their teeth.

Many of these stars are not owners of millions of dollars of jewelry they wore. Giants of the jewelry industry, such as Harry Winston, Michael Katz, and Kwiat, were masterpieces of their clothing for celebrities at the Oscars every year. It gives them high visibility, resulting in a sharp increase in sales – especially for designers whose jewelry is worn by a winner. Although red carpet can symbolize glamorous Oscar viewers around the world, for designers, the red carpet is the probability of higher profits both at home and in other countries.

The jewelry worn by celebrities during the Oscars adds more dimension to the glamorous event. Whether the designs are discreet or ostentatious does not really matter. What matters is that million viewers around the world should look like celebrities they have the right to walk on the red carpet. And with the help jewelry they wear, they do. The stars shine more clearly once a year during the Oscars.
